I am a freelance writer and investigator with a particular interest in education policy, transparency and Scottish politics.

My work has appeared in a range of publications including The Herald, The Guardian, Times Educational Supplement Scotland (TESS), CommonSpace, The National, The Daily Record, The Ecologist, The Scottish Catholic Observer and more.

I am also the author of A Scottish Journey: Personal Impressions of Modern Scotland.

I attended the University of Strathclyde from 2004-2008, graduating with a BA (Hons) in English Studies. In 2011 I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of the West of Scotland’s Ayr campus. From 2011 – 2014 I taught English at Arran High School and in 2014 I returned to Glasgow where I now teach English, Communication and Social Science in a Further Education college.

I am available for commissions on a wide range of topics and am happy to arrange media and event appearances subject to availability. Use the contact page to get in touch with me.
